In India large number of temples to visit from those I have updated here with some information
Badrinath was re-established place by aadi shankara in the ninth century. It is located in Chamoli District in the state of Uttarakhand. Badrinath is one of the four sites in India's CHAR DHAM pilgrimage. In past days devotees used to walk hundreds of Miles to visit the Badrinath temple, but now in recent years popularity has increased compared to earlier days. According to legend Shankara discovered a black stone image of Lord Badrinarayana made of Saligram stone in the ALAKANANDA RIVER. One legend has it that when the goddess Ganga was requested to descend to earth to help suffering humanity, the earth was unable to withstand the force of her descent. Therefore the mighty Ganga was split into twelve holy channels, with Alaknanda one of them.
Manasa Devi Temple is located in the city of  Haridwar  in the Uttarakhand Sate. The temple is at the top of the Bilwa Parvath on the Sivalik Hills it is the southernmost mountain chain of the Himalayas. This temple considered as must visit place for all pilgrims. In recent days Rope way is provided to reach that place.  This temple along with the nearby located Chandi Devi temple is visited by thousands of devotees from various parts of the country, and especially during the Navratra and the Kumbha Mela in Haridwar. It is said that goddesses Mansa and Chandi, the two forms of goddess Parvati always reside close to each other. This belief can also be found true in other case since near to the Mata Mansa Devi Mandir in Panchkula, Haryana, there is a Chandi Mandir located nearby in Chandigarh.
Rishikesh is Municipal Board and a tehsil in Dehradun district of Uttarakhand. Rishikesh city is from Northern India. HISTORY of Rishikesh is Lord RAMA penance here for killing the King of Lanka i.e., Ravana. The Younger Brother of Rama, That is Lakshmana constructed  a bridge present we call that bridge as “Lakshmana Jhula”. Lakshmana Crossed the river Ganges by “Lakshmana Jhula”. The Bridge stands using Jute rope. Now the jute rope was replaced by an iron rope suspension in 1889 but in 1924 it was ruined because of flood again, it was replaced by Bridge and its very strongerRishikesh is also called as “The World Capital of Yoga”. In the Skanda Purana, this area is known as”Kubjamraka” as Lord Vishnu appeared, under a mango tree. Other legends say  that fierce fire broke out here. Lord shiva was angry with Lord Agni and curse him. Then Lord Agni prayed here for the expiantion of his sins. Hence it is also known as “Agni Kshetra”.
Kurukshetra is located in Haryana State. It is also called as “Dharmakshetra”. We all know that Kurukshetra war was done in between crows and panda was this war was done on this land. The Vamana Purana tells us how the King Kuru came to settle on this land. He chose this land on the banks of the Saraswathi river for embedding spiritually with 8 virtues: austerity (Tapas), truth (Satya), forgiveness (kshama), kindness (Daya), purity (Suchee), charity (Daan), Yagya and brahmacharya. Lord Vishnu was impressed with the act of King Kuru and blessed him. The God gave him two boons, one that this land forever will be known as a Holy Land after his name as Kurukshetra i.e., the land of Kuru and the other that anyone dying on this land will be going to heaven. The land of Kurukshetra was situated between two rivers those are the Sarasvati and the Drishadvati. This land has been known as Uttravedi, Brahmavedi, Dharamkshetra and Kurukshetra at different periods. When King Kuru came to this land, it was called Uttarved.
The Tryambakam is located in the town of Tryambak in the Tryabakeshwar Tehsil in the district of Nashik of the Maharastra in India. It is a lord Shiva's Temple. It is located at the River of Godavari. It is one of the Twelve Jyothirlingas.
